Where to begin with my mom and dad..... They are the best parents ever and I am forever grateful to them for their dedication in raising their seven crazy kids! We are all almost grown with the last one a senior in high school. A new chapter in our family has begun with married children and grandkids! Who can forget the grandkids!!! Not me!.... probably because at the moment I have the majority of them... haha Anyway, my parents raised us with all the love in the world and gave us a foundation for each of our testimonies of Jesus Christ and His gospel to grow and develop into what they are today. I love you Dad and Mom!! Thanks for all that you do!

I am forever grateful that I am able to capture so much of my wonderful kids lives. They are so cute and AWESOME! They are very aware of the camera and instead of throwing fits if they don't want to cooperate then they just keep getting closer to the camera instead of staying where they are supposed to be. hhhhhhhhh They are too smart. I was bummed that Skylin, the youngest, fell asleep when we got to the open field but oh well. Trevon had the best time in the world out there. He really needs his daddy to come home to take him on more adventures than he gets to go on right now. But it's ok because we only have ONE MORE MONTH!!!!!!! Anyway, :), It was so incredibly hard to keep Trevon clean in his white shirt with all that was around him to explore from the train tracks to the field with sticks but he had a blast anyway. Karlie seemed to only be pulling a cheesy face the entire time so guess who gets to go back to take a good picture to match Trevon and Skylin's on the train tracks.... That is the beautiful thing about being able to take my own pictures. I can do them over and not feel bad about hurting the photographers feelings!

Karlie's 5 Year Photoshoot

I can't believe another year has come and gone with my little Karlie. She is turning 5 next week and doesn't stop growing! Time doesn't ever slow down. It still amazes me every day at how much my kids are growing as any mom can tell you. I am incredibly blessed to have my amazing little girl be a wonderful and very caring big sister to her younger brother and sister. We all love her very much and we love her loving spirit!

My little sister is getting married! I was able to design her wedding invitations for her! I can't take credit for the photography since she lives in Utah and I live in Washington it is a little bit difficult to do. She had a friend of hers take the pictures for her and she emailed them to me. I am very glad I was able to help her out with it! Love ya Lindsey!

Skylin's 2 year photoshoot

It always seems that on the day that you decide to take one child's pictures they will never cooperate. Every other time you take other people's pictures they always want to be in the pictures.... It is a fun challenge especially when you finally get good pictures for a 20 seconds that they are happy. The rest of the painful photoshoot they are won't smile or look at the camera. My kids know the camera too well. I love you Skylin!!! You are absolutely precious and I am so very grateful that I am able to capture so much of your life as you grow so incredibly fast.

Chloe's 1 year photo shoot

I was able to do a one year photoshoot for a friend. It was very fun especially with extra little kids running around and getting in front of the camera...namely Skylin. Karlie was a big help too with getting her to smile with toys and talking to her. It is too cute! Whether she ends up being a photographer or not she is going to know how to do it well. I love watching her!! Chloe was such a cute little model for the camera. She did great! Thanks Sheila!

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Today Myles left for his second tour of Iraq. He is going to Baghdad on FOB Liberty. Here is the low down for the Farewell. On Friday night we had a friend watch the kids and I went with Myles to post at 7:30. He was leaving at 12:15 so between those two times we just waited...and waited...and waited. We had one false alarm formation and then the buses finally came and they loaded up and left. I got home at 1:00 and at 3:00 I got a call from Myles saying to come pick him up because the airplane never left Kuwait. The plane that was there wasn't for them....army..... So I loaded up the kids in the middle of the night and drove back to post to pick him up. Note to friends here... I would have asked you to babysit but I decided if I woke up the kids and took them then I could sleep in longer. The rest of the day was very LAZY and the kids went to sleep at a wonderful time. We woke up at 3:00 Sunday morning and dragged the kids out of bed to take with us this time. We waited around at the company until 8:00 a.m. Up until this point Karlie was saying she wasn't going to be sad this time and was just excited about the puppy she was going to get when daddy came home. When he was going to get on the bus Karlie broke down in a run to him and started crying right when he was about to step onto the bus. I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one that she made cry. Little kids are the hardest to watch say goodbye. When we were leaving Karlie said, "Mommy, I just love Daddy." while she was crying. A little bit later she said, "I wasn't going to be sad, but I am." Oh man! How sad is that. She cried for I think about 15 minutes straight. Myles just called me at 5:45 and said they were in Maine making their first stop on their way. We love him very much and will see him soon....well, in a year.

Couple Photoshoot

We finally got our couple pictures done just in time before Myles left for Iraq. We went back to the stream by the river we found the day before. Now I can maybe have a larger selection of pictures of Myles and me for this coming deployment.

Our little Adventure!!

So today we were on our way to go to the park when Trevon had to go pee. We are currently TRYING to potty train him, which by the way is MUCH harder than Karlie was. We turned onto the next little side road we came to and let him have a bonding pee moment with his daddy. Too bad I didn't have my camera for that picture. Anyways, Myles, being a very curious guy and loves to know where every road goes, continued on down the road that had signs of a restricted area some where near there. If I were driving I would have turned around, but I wasn't driving. Just to make a note, we didn't go into any restricted area. We just drove past the restricted area. Just a little drive down this little bumpy road and a short hike later this is were we ended up. It was way more fun than going to a park for all of us! Trevon got soaked in the icy cold water but didn't mind it one bit. Karlie kept sliding down the huge rocks and Skylin tried a little of both.

Here is just some fun pictures that I have taken of the beautiful State of Washington. I do have to say that compared to the wonderful plains of Texas, there is a lot more photography opportunities in Washington. Maybe someday when I go back home I will be able to spot more creative opportunities from the practice that I am getting here.

Box 4 Generation Picture

While Myles' mom and grandparents were here for their visit I had to get pictures done while we had the opportunity for a 4 Generation picture. My kids are really getting tired of taking pictures all the time, but that is something they are going to have to get used to because it is so much fun! and so important for them when they grow up.

Jack and Lois are absolutely adorable and very sweet...just don't get Jack on I-5 while he is driving!!

I have taken plenty of pictures of Myles and I know all too well how much he hates taking pictures... although he does know they are important, especially for when he goes to Iraq. I always have to remind him every time to smile so this one is of me forcing him to smile.

Trevon is such a funny little boy...and definitely a boy. He does not want to do what you want him to do. Especially smile. He wasn't really a grouch, he just wouldn't smile at all. Karlie finally made him smile for the picture. Thanks a ton to her because I couldn't do it.

I am trying my hand at photography and I love it! I continually learn so much and of course my kids are my number 1 clients....whether they like it or not. I have to say Karlie is my favorite one to take pictures of because she actually cooperates with me most of the time. They are all so incredibly cute though. All of these pictures were taken within 50 feet of my house. Washington is very beautiful!
